Flying high again ::
Presenting the last of a series of saucer-shaped devices, “UFO 2″ – a handmade, retrofuturistic, UFO/Theresynth™. My fully analog circuit is built into this solid chrome disc, with a wild, bright orange indicator light (that’s very dynamic & built into sturdy 3-point, chrome base). It’s also got a high-quality photocell to control the pitch, an on/off Moog knob (lower) that controls the oscillation speed and another Moog knob that controls the range (upper). There’s a 1/4″ output for recording and live performance and a built-in speaker for playing on-the-go. Because of it’s unique, UFO shape, it’s not as loud by itself as some of my other models, but sounds fantastic & raspy through an amp with some delay and strobe-light for good measure. It has a very wide tonal range, alot of pitch control, and is tons fun to play, especially when you pretend to be flying in Outerspace. In the clip I play it through a solid state amp with delay. “UFO 2″ is the first of it’s kind, #001, signed and dated inside. The alien-green plastic bottom is easily removable for changing the battery and checking out the circuitry. Be the first and only earthling to take an unforgettable journey with “UFO 2″.
