Tempo Tuner

One-of-a-Kind 60′s Device ::
Q: What do you get when you cross a 60′s tuner with a metronome and photocell? A: One bad-ass and unique electronic instrument! I took this funky, vintage “Tempo Tuner” unit and added a momentary/locking switch and photocell to make it into a great, little portable, analog synth. She has tasty 60′s stylings with bakelite knobs, built-in speaker (very loud unamplified), volume control, tolex covering, locking clasp & handle and beautiful analog circuitry. Not only can you tweak the pitch most accurately from the big, center knob, but you can also play the metronome with the photocell too – making cool geiger-counter sounds! In addition there are four individual tones (C, Bb, A & F) that are interesting to play with by twisting the selector knob. These individual notes are not affected by the photocell. The “Tempo Tuner” runs on a 9V battery and is extremely clean for it’s 40+ years. There are slight scratches and dings on the silver speaker grill, but overall she’s in very excellent condition. This is the only one in existence – so don’t miss out!
